My apologies for not being here for the past...however long it's been.

As most of you will have probably noticed (or not), I haven't been updating at all recently--not, at least, since September, about two weeks into the new semester.

There are a number of reasons for this, chief among them being that I've just been tired. Emotionally and mentally tired--I really haven't been drawing my anime-style pictures well, and updating my dA just seems like a really big chore. I haven't felt well, and it's having an impact on my drawing.

My other reason is that I've taken a huge step away from my anime-style drawings.

This year I began to take a printmaking class. I'm required to keep a sketchbook, and I began to draw things from life--kids in my classes, corners of rooms, that sort of thing. And I'm finding that the more and more I draw IRL stuff, the less and less appealing my manga-esque art is appearing.

I don't know if it's that I've finally taken the step forward I need to and that I'm getting good enough to realize that some of my anime-style art is somewhat crap, or if anime-style is not the road I'm meant to walk down. Whatever it is, I have to follow it.

So as of right now, this account is on HIATUS for the forseeable future. I may come back and post things, someday, or maybe even WHILE I'm on hiatus (this, however, probably won't be the norm). What I do post here, however, will BE my manga-esque art.
